Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reserve a puppy?

You can either join our free Waitlist or place a $500 reservation deposit to be added to our Reservation List.

Our puppies are in high demand, and in most cases every puppy is reserved before the litter is even born. While we do maintain a free Waitlist, families on the Reservation List receive priority selection, and many litters are fully spoken for before puppies are available to the public. If you're hoping to bring home one of our Westies, we strongly recommend joining our Reservation List.

If the Reservation List does not fill an entire litter, we will begin contacting families on our free Waitlist.

What is the difference between the Waitlist and Reservation List?

 Waitlist

  • Free to join
  • No obligation
  • Contacted after Reservation List families have made their selections
  • Great for families who are not in a hurry

Reservation List

  • $500 non-refundable deposit
  • First opportunity to choose from available puppies
  • Deposit is applied toward the purchase price of your puppy
  • Recommended for families who want the best chance of getting a puppy sooner

Do you have reviews I can read?

Absolutely! Check out our GoodDog link to see our reviews.

Do I need to specify if I want a male or female?

Yes. When joining either our Waitlist or Reservation List, please let us know if you are looking for:

  • Male
  • Female
  • Open to either

Being open to either sex may provide more opportunities depending on the litter.

What happens if I pass on a litter?

Reservation List: You may pass on one litter and keep your current place in line. If you choose to pass on two consecutive litters, your reservation will move to the bottom of the Reservation List.

Waitlist: You may also pass on one litter and keep your place on the Waitlist. If you choose to pass on two consecutive litters, you will be moved to the bottom of the Waitlist.

This policy helps keep both lists moving fairly for everyone.

How much are your puppies?

West Highland White Terrier puppies are $2,500 with Limited AKC Registration.

The $500 reservation deposit is credited toward the total purchase price.

Why should I place a reservation deposit instead of joining the free Waitlist?

Our puppies are in high demand and often sell very quickly. Many of our litters are fully reserved before the puppies are ever available to the public.

Placing a reservation deposit gives you priority over the free Waitlist and significantly increases your chances of getting a puppy from your preferred litter.

When do I choose my puppy?

Puppy selections take place at approximately 7 weeks of age, after the puppies have completed their veterinary health exam.

Families choose their puppies in the order reservation deposits were received.

Are your puppies AKC registered?

Yes. Our puppies are sold with Limited AKC Registration unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

What comes with my puppy?

 Each puppy goes home with:

  • Age-appropriate vaccinations
  • Routine deworming
  • Veterinary health examination
  • AKC registration paperwork
  • Starter food
  • Lifetime breeder support

When can my puppy go home?

Puppies are typically ready to go to their new homes at approximately 8 weeks of age, provided they are healthy and developing appropriately.

Do you offer a health guarantee?

Yes. We stand behind the health of every puppy we produce and provide a written health guarantee with every puppy.

Can I visit the puppies?

To help protect the health and safety of our puppies, we do not offer home visits.

Families are welcome to attend their puppy's veterinary appointment if they would like the opportunity to meet their puppy before pickup.

Do you ship puppies?

Yes. While we do not provide shipping ourselves, we are happy to connect you with a professional pet transporter that we have used in the past.

What if I can no longer keep my puppy?

We are committed to every puppy we produce for its entire life. If you are ever unable to keep your Westie, we ask that you contact us first. We will gladly help find an appropriate new home or welcome the dog back if needed.
